Why home charging

Public charging is fine for road trips. For daily driving, home charging is faster, cheaper, and more convenient.

A Level 2 home charger (240V, 30–50 amps) gives you a full battery every night — no detours, no apps, no public charging fees.

But installing one isn't just mounting a unit on the wall. In most Glendale and Pasadena homes, a Level 2 charger adds a significant load to an already-strained panel. The install isn't complete until the whole system works safely.

    Hardwired or NEMA 14-50 plug install, indoor or outdoor rated.

    Permit and inspection

    Required by LA County, Glendale, Burbank, and Pasadena. We pull it, we pass it.

  6. 06

    Panel upgrade, if needed

    If your panel can't handle the load, we can upgrade to 200-amp service in the same project — saving you a second visit.

  • SCE Charge Ready Home: Help with panel-upgrade costs for qualifying homes
  • Federal tax credit: A residential charger installation credit, subject to current program availability

How long does installation take?
A straightforward install runs 3–5 hours. With panel work or long wire runs, a full day.
Do I need a 200-amp panel for a Level 2 charger?
Not always. A 100-amp panel with spare capacity and no other major loads can often support a Level 2 charger. We check first.
Hardwired or plug-in (NEMA 14-50)?
Hardwired is more common for permanent installations and is required for the highest-power chargers (48A+). Plug-in gives more flexibility if you move. We help you decide based on your setup.
Can you install a Tesla Wall Connector?
Yes — Tesla Wall Connector, Universal Wall Connector, and all major brands.
What if I'm getting an EV later — can you pre-wire?
Yes. We can run the circuit now and install the charger later. This is a smart move before you buy the car.
